Daily site reports from reviewed field updates

Prepare the daily report from the updates your site team already sent.

Rangka prepares a daily-report draft from reviewed information. The project manager adds what is missing, corrects the wording, and approves the report only when it is ready.

Reviewed work contributes to the report draft; the complete report still needs PM approval.

The daily problem

The report should not begin with reconstructing the chat.

When the PM starts from a blank report at the end of the day, progress and delay details must be found again. Reviewed updates provide a clearer starting point without turning a draft into an automatic fact.

Reviewed work

Bring supported activity, location, progress, and issue fields into the day’s draft.

Missing detail

Keep incomplete items visible so the PM can add or request what is absent.

Connected evidence

Return from a contribution to the original message and available media.

A different worked project example

A prepared report your project manager can review, trust and approve.

The Grid B2 update contributes reported progress and the anchor-bolt delay after PM review; it does not approve the report by itself.

  1. Prepared contribution

    Pipe-rack installation · Grid B2 · 75% reported progress.

  2. PM correction

Wording checked; two outstanding supports retained in the draft.

  3. Report decision

The authorised PM approves only when the complete daily report is ready.

How the workflow works

Keep draft and approved record visibly different.

The report remains editable while it is a draft. Approval records who approved it and when; the approved report then stays read-only.

  1. 1

    Review site updates

Confirm, correct, exclude, or reject the prepared information against its source.

  2. 2

    Complete the draft

Add missing work, notes, or evidence and check the complete project day.

  3. 3

    Approve deliberately

The project manager makes the final report decision and can export the approved PDF where the plan allows.

Where human judgement remains

Prepared is not approved.

Rangka reduces reconstruction, not accountability. It does not publish a contractual record without an authorised project-manager decision.

Questions before you start

Clear answers about this workflow.

Is the report fully automatic?

No. Rangka prepares a draft for review; the PM completes and approves it.

Can an approved report be silently changed?

No. Approved reports are read-only in the normal workflow.

Do we need a programme first?

No. Daily reporting can begin before programme activities are available.
